Patients with non-metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer were asked to provide feedback.

Before the intestinal flora transplant, I was feeling depressed and negative, always thinking about when I would die of cancer. After the intestinal flora transplantation, I feel that my anxiety is gradually decreasing. I feel less anxious after the intestinal flora transplantation.

[Profile]
Disease name: Non-metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer
Transplant period: February 17, 2022 – February 21, 2023
Number of transplants: 8
Medical institution in charge of transplantation: Tanaka Clinic, Jinseikai Medical Corporation

Q1. WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO UNDERGO INTESTINAL FLORA TRANSPLANTATION AT OUR INSTITUTE?

When Dr. Yoko Arima, a trusted doctor in Hokkaido, introduced me to Dr. Zen Tanaka, the director of the Tanaka Clinic, I decided to take this treatment because I believed it would contribute to integrative medicine (alternative medicine) for my current prostate cancer.

Q2. DID YOU RECEIVE SUFFICIENT EXPLANATION AND SUPPORT FROM THE MEDICAL INSTITUTION FROM THE TIME OF YOUR TRANSPLANT APPLICATION UNTIL AFTER THE TRANSPLANT WAS COMPLETED?

Should the procedure for intestinal flora transplantation and subsequent stool testing be done by the contact clinic? It is still unclear whether the request for flora transplantation should first be made to the Intestinal Flora Transplantation Clinical Study Group Office.

Q3. HOW HAVE YOUR SYMPTOMS CHANGED AFTER THE TRANSPLANT?

After the da Vinci surgery with standard treatment for prostate cancer, biopsy showed a Gleason 5+4 very high risk, pT3b, and he was then continued on ADT (Leuplin). However, 1 year and 10 months later, he developed nm-CRPC (castration-resistant prostate cancer), and antiandrogens (Casodex) were added. Still depressed when his doctor told him he needed enzalutamide in a stronger ARAT, he started an intestinal flora transplant.

I feel that my attitude toward anxiety and negativity has changed.

Before the intestinal flora transplant, I was feeling depressed and negative, thinking only about when I would die of cancer. After the intestinal flora transplantation, I feel that I am gradually feeling less anxious.

THE ONLY UNFORTUNATE THING IS THAT THE TUMOR MARKER PSA IS SLOWLY COMING UP, EVEN THOUGH I AM CONTINUING THE INTESTINAL FLORA TRANSPLANT AND THE ARAT ENZALUTAMIDE AND ADT LEUPLIN.

My doctor has told me that the only thing he can do next with the standard treatment is the anti-cancer drug docetaxel.

I told him that if I accepted it, the side effects would include numbness in my fingers, and since I am a dentist, I would not be able to work and would have to close my clinic.

Now, after 8 intestinal flora transplants, I am thankful that I am not as depressed mentally as I used to be.

BUT IF POSSIBLE, I WOULD BE HAPPY IF THE INTESTINAL FLORA TRANSPLANT COULD ALSO BRING THE PSA DOWN AND BELOW THE INSTRUMENTAL LIMIT OF 0.006. RIGHT NOW, AS OF MARCH, PSA IS 0.056. THE SITUATION IS THAT THERE IS A SLIGHT INCREASE.

Q4. IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN THE INTESTINAL BACTERIA THAT BECAME YOUR FRIENDS THROUGH TRANSPLANTATION, PLEASE TELL US ABOUT ANY LIFESTYLE HABITS OR WAYS OF THINKING THAT YOU ARE TRYING TO MAINTAIN AFTER TRANSPLANTATION.

As for my lifestyle, I try to eat homemade food as much as possible. Of course, there are times when I cannot move due to the side effects of enzalutamide, or when I have to eat out on the road, which is sometimes impossible, but in my case, since I have hormone-related cancer, milk and beef are absolutely prohibited. In my case, however, I know that milk and beef are injected with hormones at the current stage of breeding, no matter how domestically produced, and I try not to take milk, dairy products, or beef. I try to live with a relaxed mind as much as possible because stress is the worst thing for me.

The brain-gut correlation concept keeps you feeling cheerful.

We never drink tap water by ordering hydrogen water and miraculous water from Kobayashi Town, Miyazaki City, Miyazaki Prefecture, which we have researched independently. We never drink tap water because it contains chlorine. Also, if we heat tap water, trihalomethane is produced, which is carcinogenic, so we do not drink it. In addition, I take immunoactive lactobacillus 11-1, which was researched by the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of Tokyo, as a prebiotic for the bacteria in my intestines.

Since the key to cancer is ultimately how high one’s own immune system is, I eat pine needles and drink hydrogen water in an effort to boost my immune system and as an antioxidant to reduce chronic inflammation. I take a hydrogen hot bath in the bath.

Now that I know that body soaps and shampoos contain poisonous sodium lauryl sulfate, laureth numbers, and sulfonic acid, I now only use hot water shampoos. There are many other things I do in my routine, but I’ll leave it at that.

Q5. WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO THOSE WHO ARE GOING TO HAVE A TRANSPLANT OR ARE UNSURE ABOUT IT?

I would like to recommend it because it will never go bad, and it will brighten the most important mental problems and remove anxiety, fear, and terror, which is important.

Q6. PLEASE GIVE A MESSAGE TO THE DONOR WHO PROVIDED THE STOOL FOR THE TRANSPLANT.

Thank you very much. Thank you very much.

Q7. PLEASE LET US KNOW ANY OTHER COMMENTS, OPINIONS, OR REQUESTS YOU MAY HAVE.

If possible, I would like to receive more specific comments from you, such as what kind of food is good for me, what kind of lifestyle I should adopt, etc., based on your consideration of my diet and body temperature before and after the intestinal flora transplantation.
