Q1. What made you decide to undergo intestinal flora transplantation at our institute?
I felt there was some connection between gut health and mental health, developmental disorders, and overall health, and my husband didn’t object.
Q2. DID YOU RECEIVE SUFFICIENT EXPLANATION AND SUPPORT FROM THE MEDICAL INSTITUTION FROM THE TIME OF YOUR TRANSPLANT APPLICATION UNTIL AFTER THE TRANSPLANT WAS COMPLETED?
Before the transplant, I wanted the doctor and the administrative staff to explain in as much detail as possible why they chose that particular donor—specifically, what kind of bacteria they intended to increase, what effects they expected, and examples of past cases where similar outcomes were achieved.
Q3. HOW HAVE YOUR SYMPTOMS CHANGED AFTER THE TRANSPLANT?
Regarding development, before the transplant, he was extremely irritable and easily agitated, making it often painful to be around him. After the transplant, he himself reported feeling less irritable than before, and my husband also mentioned he seems calmer than before. From my perspective as his mother, if his previous tantrums and fights were rated at 10, they now seem to have settled down to around 2 or 3.
However, several months after the transplant, irritability and sensitivity have increased again. I would like to know if there is still room for improvement based on future gut flora balance test results, and I am considering an additional transplant if necessary.
Regarding skin conditions like atopic dermatitis and acne, the acne has drastically decreased, and with atopic dermatitis, the number of days I can go without applying medication and experience no itching or eczema is steadily increasing.
Q4. In order to maintain the intestinal bacteria that became your friends through transplantation, please tell us about any lifestyle habits or ways of thinking that you are trying to maintain after transplantation.
I’m careful to eat meals that avoid wheat-based foods, dairy products, sweets, vegetable oils, and other substances that seem unhealthy for the body as much as possible.
I’ve cut back significantly on eating out compared to before, and even when I do eat out, I’m careful about the restaurants I choose and mindful of my diet.
I drink the hydrogen NanoGAS water from the research group and make a point of drinking water frequently.
I got a prescription at the clinic and have continued taking the supplements even after the transplant.

Q5. WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO THOSE WHO ARE GOING TO HAVE A TRANSPLANT OR ARE UNSURE ABOUT IT?
Even if you’re given dietary guidance, it might seem overwhelming at first and feel impossible. But by getting advice at the clinic and researching things yourself to try out different approaches, you’ll manage just fine.
Q6. PLEASE GIVE A MESSAGE TO THE DONOR WHO PROVIDED THE STOOL FOR THE TRANSPLANT.
The transplant was completed successfully without any complications. Thank you for donating your stool.

Q7. PLEASE LET US KNOW ANY OTHER COMMENTS, OPINIONS, OR REQUESTS YOU MAY HAVE.
I hesitated to recommend the transplant because, financially speaking, it’s not an amount we can easily afford. I couldn’t bring myself to say it because it would mean revealing that we’d paid that sum.
