He was “eager to go to school every day. After the transplant, his epilepsy waveforms became less frequent with lower waves.” The patient responded, “I am very happy with the results.

Q1. WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO UNDERGO INTESTINAL FLORA TRANSPLANTATION AT OUR INSTITUTE?

I thought I would choose this place because of the special features of the transplanted bacteria solution and the ability to choose the right intestinal flora for my medical condition instead of my relatives.

Q2. DID YOU RECEIVE SUFFICIENT EXPLANATION AND SUPPORT FROM THE MEDICAL INSTITUTION FROM THE TIME OF YOUR TRANSPLANT APPLICATION UNTIL AFTER THE TRANSPLANT WAS COMPLETED?

I am satisfied with the treatment itself. The only problem is the cost

Q3. HOW HAVE YOUR SYMPTOMS CHANGED AFTER THE TRANSPLANT?

He attends school willingly every day. He had had an epileptic seizure once and his EEG showed an epileptic waveform, but after the transplant, the epileptic waveform had become less frequent with lower waves. I have had several EEG measurements, but this was the first time that my EEG improved.

I also feel that I have become less attached to what goes around.

Q4. IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN THE INTESTINAL BACTERIA THAT BECAME YOUR FRIENDS THROUGH TRANSPLANTATION, PLEASE TELL US ABOUT ANY LIFESTYLE HABITS OR WAYS OF THINKING THAT YOU ARE TRYING TO MAINTAIN AFTER TRANSPLANTATION.

In accordance with the doctor’s instructions, he tries to maintain a good intestinal environment by reducing flour products, dairy products, and additives in his diet as much as possible.

Q5. WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO THOSE WHO ARE GOING TO HAVE A TRANSPLANT OR ARE UNSURE ABOUT IT?

The treatment itself seems to be almost painless. It is worth a try for diseases for which there is no readily available cure.

Q6. PLEASE GIVE A MESSAGE TO THE DONOR WHO PROVIDED THE STOOL FOR THE TRANSPLANT.

Thanks to this, my child is going to school with great enthusiasm. I am going to carefully nurture the bacteria we received.

Thank you very much.

Q7. PLEASE LET US KNOW ANY OTHER COMMENTS, OPINIONS, OR REQUESTS YOU MAY HAVE.

I wish the cost could be a little lighter. I think there is a demand not only in Japan but also overseas due to features such as the transplantation fungal solution.
