Flow of transplantation of intestinal bacteria (plexus)
The following is an explanation of the flow of transplantation with the NanoGAS®-FMT method. The flow may be back and forth depending on the patient’s needs and condition.
Those who are eligible for transplantation must meet all of the following three conditions
- Those who can come to Japan by themselves and visit designated medical institutions in Japan.
- Those who can explain about their disease in English or Japanese.
- Those who can fill out an inquiry form in English or Japanese.
*If you do not meet these three conditions, you are not currently eligible to apply for a transplant.
In order to ensure that all foreign patients undergoing fecal microflora transplantation (treatment) are fully informed about the necessity of transplantation, the method, the possible risks, and the comparison with other treatment methods before undergoing transplantation, all foreign patients undergoing transplantation (treatment)are given four opportunities to receive information and to confirm the patient’s intention four times before transplantation.
- Online interview by a concierge
- Online medical examination by a doctor
(including application for the intestinal flora balance test) - In-person medical examination by a doctor
(including hand delivery of the intestinal flora balance test kit) - Online consultation by a doctor
(including the explanation of the intestinal flora balance test results)
In addition, all patients are required to sign a total of six consent forms (e.g., for the protection of personal information) before the transplant is performed. On any of these occasions (even after submitting the consent form), the patient may withdraw the application for transplantation at any time.
